Fortive, a leading industrial technology conglomerate, acquires an hourly Human resource tool, TeamSense

After being successfully released as a COVID symptom monitoring tool for the hourly workforce, TeamSense, the leading free text-based application resource for hourly workers in the manufacturing space, was acquired by Fortive Corporation. TeamSense is the first spin-off of a joint innovation studio created by Pioneer Square Labs, located in Seattle, Washington, and Fortive, in Everett, Washington. TeamSense adds more than 20 companies to its portfolio and joins similar Fortive companies such as Fluke, Textronix, and Industrial Scientific.

“At the height of the pandemic, we enabled a small team of manufacturing veterans to quickly develop and scale bright, zero COVID-19 symptom detection applications for critical hourly workers,” said Kirsten Paust, vice president of the Fortive office. . “Because they knew the needs of the factory workers so well, they were incredibly successful and evolved into a digital set of tools without programs. TeamSense is now tracking the service, providing an on-demand ESS portal, and much more. A true 90% of technology innovations in the workplace serving 20% of office workers, TeamSense is bringing technology to 80% of employees who really need it and are falling behind.”

“Our mission at TeamSense is to support, involve and train hourly employees.” – Sheila Stafford, CEO, and co-founder

“From my days at Whirlpool and GM, I have had a firsthand understanding of the inner workings of the manufacturing industry employee – a segment that is often overlooked in the innovative workforce that works for the way they work,” said Sheila Stafford, CEO, and co-founder of TeamSense. Now that we’re officially part of Fortive, we can focus on fulfilling our mission rather than securing our next round of venture capital investments. ”
