HR Startup Remote Valued at Nearly $3 Billion after SoftBank-Led Funding Round

Human resources technology platform Remote said on Tuesday it had raised $300 million in a funding round led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2, valuing the company at nearly $3 billion.

Launched in 2019, remote reading software company GitLab Inc, food delivery company DoorDash Inc and payroll company Paystack are among its customers.

The first provides tools and services to help companies recruit talent from around the world, manage their payroll, and assist law enforcement.

Remote aims to use this money to invest in product research and promotion, expansion of payment platforms, and the addition of new features to its original services and benefits.

The emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the growth of companies such as Remote, which has recently launched a support platform to assist migrant workers.

In October, the printing company Deel collected $ 245 for $ 550.

The newly launched Remote Fundraising will take place less than a year after its $ 150 million Series B tour, bringing its total revenue to $ 495 from the start.

Other C-Series circulating investors include venture capital firms Accel, Sequoia Capital, Index Ventures, Two Sigma Ventures, and General Catalyst.
