Swati Chawla, who was Director of Organizational Efficiency at Philip Morris International (PMI), was promoted to Director – Malaysia People and Culture. Previously, Chawla worked in Hong Kong and ensured agility in the organization through behavioral changes. As Director of Organizational Effectiveness, she was also responsible for designing and implementing the transformation model across all regions and markets for Philip Morris.
Chawla has worked with PMI for over three years. Before joining PMI, she was Global Head of HR Analysis, Strategy, and Planning at Syngenta, which operates in the agrotechnology sector and employs more than 40,000 people worldwide. In this role, he led the research, analytical and predictive modeling function for over three years to improve the future of human resources across the organization.
Chawla, a student at the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, completed her PhD in Human Resources before joining GE Capital International Services. He works for the company at various locations in India and the United States as a human resources manager. Going forward, Chawla joined Baxter International, a healthcare products and solutions company serving patients and hospitals, as national HR manager for Malaysia and Singapore.
For a short period of six months, Chawla was also Vice President of Talent Management at HSBC. He has worked as a consultant and project manager for companies such as Hewitt Aon and Towers Watson.
